PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work roll for hot-finishing mills which allows stable rolling with excellent threading performance and the improvement in the shape quality of a steel plate by suppressing thermal crown generated on the work rolls in the hot finish rolling of a hot-rolled steel plate, and to provide a rolling mill train composed of a plurality of hot-finishing mills with the roll incorporated and a rolling method by using the rolling mill train.;SOLUTION: The work roll incorporated in the finishing mill is a composite roll composed of a shaft material made of carbon steel or alloy steel, an intermediate layer made of Fe-Ni alloy and an outer layer made of a high-speed steel material. In the barrel part of the work roll, the shaft material has a recessed part on the outer periphery in the middle part in the direction of the barrel length of the roll, the intermediate layer is formed in that recessed part, made into a columnar shape with the shaft material and the intermediate layer, and the intermediate layer is formed into a trapezoidal shape in the cross section in the direction of the barrel length.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
