PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side rail inserted into a bed which prevents the formation of a clearance having a risk of catching a body between the rail and a head board and to reduce rattling thereof. PSOLUTION: The side rail device inserted into a bed includes support rod bodies 4 projecting from the lower side of a side rail body 5, insertion support portions 9 where the support rod bodies 4 are inserted and supported, formed in the side of a bed 1, and an extension portion 6 on the lateral side of the side rail body in the direction of a board (a head board) 2 of the bed, and the board and the extension portion are configured to be engaged with each other.
