PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strain gauge for simply and accurately measuring a hot spot stress, capable of easy positioning and sticking with enhanced workability.;SOLUTION: A strain gauge 1 for measuring a hot spot stress has a gauge pattern 12 comprising a gauge base 11, a first grid part GA, and a second grid part GB. The first grid part GA having a gauge resistance Rga is arranged at a first predetermined distance DA in the longitudinal direction from one end LE of the gauge base 11 in longitudinal direction, and the second grid part GB having a gauge resistance Rgb is arranged at a second predetermined distance DB from the one end LE longer than the first predetermined distance DA. A bridge adapter 2 has a first fixed resistance R1, a second fixed resistance R2, and a third fixed resistance R3, which constitute a bridge circuit with the gauge resistances Rga and Rgb.
