PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookshelf in which a front cover plate is smoothly moved in accordance with the movement of mobile bookcases in a state like that of the beginning of use even with multiple times of use. PSOLUTION: An article storage implement includes: a base 15 provided with rails 21; an article storage body 3 provided with casters 19 and 20 running on the rails 21 of the base 15; a front cover plate 9 of the article storage body, provided with extension rails 22 connectable to the rails 21 of the base 15 and provided on the back; hinge means 16 hinging a cover plate 9 on the base 15 for turning the front cover plate 9 relative to the base 15 to thereby open/close the front part of the article storage body 3; an urging member 17 for performing energization in a direction to close the cover plate 9 via the hinge means 16; and a support member 18 arranged by connection between the article storage body 3 and the cover plate 9 and moving in accordance with the movement of the body 3 and the cover plate 9 to thereby support the cover plate 9.
