SUMMARY Patent of Invention: "CONTINUOUS SINGLE IMMERSION PROCESS FOR GALVANIZING LONG STEEL PRODUCTS IN Zn-Al-Mg ALLOYS". By first fluxing a long steel product with new specific flux compositions it is possible to continuously produce more uniform, softer and shaft-free galvanized coatings on such long steel products in a single hot dip galvanizing step making use of zinc alloys. -aluminium or zinc-aluminum-magnesium alloys with less than 95% by weight of zinc. This is obtained by providing potassium sodium chloride in a KCl / NaCl weight ratio of at least 2.0 in a flux composition comprising (a) more than 40 and less than 70% by weight zinc chloride, ( (b) from 10 to 30% by weight of ammonium chloride; (c) more than 6 and less than 30% by weight of a group of at least two alkali metal chlorides.
