The claimed method of preparing the leaf containing the flavoring matter for the smoking product. The method includes the stage of applying the suspension of raw material on the substrate, where the suspension contains a polysaccharide containing at least one of carrageenan and gellan gum, flavor, emulsifier and 70-95 % by weight water content, has a flavor contents of 100-1000 % by weight relatively to polysaccharide and has a temperature of 60-90 °C in a colloidal state, the stage of cooling of applied suspension of raw material to a temperature of the sample of 0-40 °C, by yielding the gel and the stage of thermodrying that includes heating the gelatinized raw material and drying it at a temperature of the sample of 70-100 °C.
