A heatable glass assembly includes a pane of glass having a first surface, atop edge, abottom edge, and a side edge between the top edge and the bottom edge andhaving a length L.A pyrolytic coating is applied to a portion of the first surface. A conductivepaste is appliedalong or adjacent to at least a part of the top edge, the bottom edge, and theside edge. Theconductive paste associated with the top edge is in electrical communicationwith a portion of theconductive paste associated with the side edge, and the conductive pasteassociated with thebottom edge is in electrical communication with another portion of theconductive pasteassociated with the side edge. The conductive paste associated with the topedge and associatedwith the bottom edge is in electrical contact with the pyrolytic coating.
