The electronic authentication client system comprises an intelligent remote controller and a television controller. The television controller is used for receiving authentication code data sent by an authentication server, sending the authentication code data to the intelligent remote controller, receiving an authentication code operation result sent by the intelligent remote controller, and sending the authentication code operation result to the authentication server. The intelligent remote controller is used for receiving the authentication code data sent by the television controller, operating the authentication code data according to a built-in authentication algorithm to obtain the authentication code operation result, and sending the authentication code operation result to the television controller. An electronic authentication process is achieved using the intelligent remote controller and the television controller to conduct data interaction, and an authentication algorithm is achieved in the intelligent remote controller without setting data transmission interfaces, such as a USB, etc. and without inserting a USBKey, and thus it is convenient.
