The invention relates to a multifunction display for a vehicle, which comprises at least one first display unit (1) with a number of display areas (1.1 to 1.3), a second display unit (2) with a number of display areas (2.1 to 2.4) and at least one operating element (5, 6), wherein at least one representable function and/or information can be selected by means of buttons (S) at least on the first display unit (1) and/or by means of the at least one operating element (5, 6), which function and/or information can be assigned to a display area (1.1 to 1.3, 2.1 to 2.4) of the first display unit (1) and/or of the second display unit (2) and/or to a further display area (3) and can be displayed in same, wherein a display position can be selected manually by means of the buttons (S) and/or of the at least one operating element (5, 6).
