A contact arrangement has a symmetry axis (z) and comprises at least a first elongated contact (4c) and at least a second elongated contact (4d). At least one of the contacts (4c, 4d) is movable linearly along the axis (z) relatively to the other contact (4d, 4c) and contacts it electrically and mechanically, the electrical and mechanical contact occurring at a front face (13) of each contact (4c, 4d). The first and/or the second contact (4c, 4d) is at least partially hollow, thereby forming a hollow space (6a, 6b) in its interior. A diameter, with regard to the axis (z), of the hollow space (6a, 6b) of the first and/or the second contact (4c, 4d) varies along at least a section of the hollow space (6a, 6b) and the hollow space (6a, 6b) has an opening (8a, 8b) on the front face (13) of the first and/or the second contact (4c, 4d).
