A dental instrument (10) with an application device of a gyroscopic position sensor, wherein the dental instrument is of the dental handpiece type (11), equipped with a tool-bearing head and relative tool (12) with which a micromotor (17) is associated, a support (14) being constrained to the dental handpiece (11), on which a gyroscopic position sensor (13) is positioned, an angular adapter (18) of the removable type being interposed between the gyroscopic sensor (13) and the support (14), which determines a spatial direction of an axis (x) of the gyroscopic sensor (13), parallel to an operative axis (X) of the tool (12).
