The present invention relates to an education management system and an education management method for permitting talent-oriented credits or career-oriented credits. The education management system, which is connected to a user terminal and an authentication server via a network, comprises: a receiving unit for receiving career data of a student from the user terminal; a career screening unit for screening for career matters included in the career data on the basis of preset criteria; and a credit granting unit for granting a credit corresponding to an outcome score of the career screening with respect to the major of the student according to the career matters when the career matters are permitted.
