The present invention relates to an education management system and an education management method for permitting talent oriented credits or career oriented credits. The education management system which is connected to a user terminal and an authentication server via a network comprises: a receiving unit for receiving career data of a student from the user terminal; a career screening unit for screening for career matters included in the career data on the basis of preset criteria; and a credit granting unit for granting a credit corresponding to an outcome score of the career screening with respect to the major of the student according to the career matters when the career matters are permitted.
