The present invention refers to a system for supplying filter tow and plug wrap to the rod formation stage (RFS) of a Filter Rod Maker, the system comprising: (A) an integral unit (TPU - Tow Processing Unit) that includes: (i) a first and a second tow processing components (TPC) to continuously process and transfer, each one, a length of filament tow from a tow feeder to the rod formation stage (RFS), (ii) a first plug wrap feeder component (PWFC), (iii) an embossing module for providing at least one grooved region on said first plug wrap of a filter rod, (iv) an adhesive applicator nozzle for the anchorage of said first plug wrap to one of said first and second processed tows; (B) a second PWFC, located in the lower front side of the RFS; and (C) a control module.
