A hybrid-driving electric hydraulic power-assisted steering system and a control method thereof. A main hydraulic unit and an auxiliary hydraulic unit are arranged in parallel between an oil storage tank and a power-assisted steering device of the steering system, and a tee joint is arranged between a main non-return valve of the main hydraulic unit and an auxiliary non-return valve of the auxiliary hydraulic unit. Two oil inlets of the tee joint are respectively connected to the main non-return valve and the auxiliary non-return valve, and an overflow valve is connected in series to an oil path between an oil outlet of the tee joint and an oil inlet of the power-assisted steering device. The main hydraulic unit further comprises a main controller for measuring an output flow of a main hydraulic pump, and the auxiliary hydraulic unit further comprises an auxiliary controller that is connected to the main controller and used for controlling an output flow of an auxiliary hydraulic pump. The hybrid-driving electric hydraulic power-assisted steering system and the control method thereof can adjust the output flow of the auxiliary hydraulic pump in real time according to the output flow of the main hydraulic pump, thereby taking power of the two hydraulic units into account and preventing energy waste.
