The method involves storing the location data of the venues in a site plan and the location data of the display sites in a display map. The time and content for each event takes place in each event area are stored in a record of an event list. A determination is made to determine whether a portion of the information of the record is displayed on the display devices (8) by evaluation of the venues and the display sites from a local criterion. The display content is determined from the record using the content criteria, and is provided for display on the display devices. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a display system; and (2) a use of a graphics rendering engine in a display system.
