The present invention relates to a method for dipping monolith type silica aerogel synthesized in a alkylsilane solution which is a dipping solution using a alkoxide precursor and provides a method for preparing hydrophobic monolith type silica aerogel, wherein the method includes a step of making hydrophobic surface and inside of the monolith type silica wet gel.
