[Problem statement] Intend to provide a medicine inspection device to appropriately inspect the quantity of a solid medicine without inspection failure due to stacking up or mutual contact of a solid medicine and due to packaging paper, and a medicine dispensing device equipped with such a medicine inspection device. [MEANS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM] The medicine inspection device 10 is provided with - an inspection unit 14 comprised of a plurality of inspection areas 26a-26c wherein a medicine for inspected is disposed, - a vibrator 16 capable of generating vibrations independently in each inspection area mentioned above, - a shooting means 18 that can photograph a medicine disposed in the inspection unit 14, - a medicine information detector 66 capable of detecting the medicine quantity or type or both based on the image obtained by the shooting means 18, and - a distribution detector 62 that can detect the distribution of a medicine in the inspection unit 14 on the basis of the image obtained by photographing with the shooting means 18. In the medicine inspection device 10, the vibrator 16 generates vibration in an area selected from among the inspection areas 26a-26c based on the detection result of the distribution detector 62.
