The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for discontinuous reception (DRX) reconfiguration in consideration of a new carrier type (NCT) in a multiple component carrier system. The method comprises the steps of: receiving a radio resource control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message including NCT secondary serving cell configuration information and reduced CRC information from a base station; configuring the NCT secondary serving cell based on the NCT secondary serving cell configuration information; generating an RRC connection reconfiguration completion message indicating that a user equipment (UE) has completed RRC connection reconfiguration based on the RRC connection reconfiguration message; transmitting the generated RRC connection reconfiguration completion message to the base station; and performing DRX reconfiguration in the UE based on DRX related parameters provided in the UE and the reduced CRS information. According to the present invention, when the NCT secondary serving cell is configured in the UE, the UE can implicitly conduct the DRX reconfiguration in consideration of the reduced CRS information, which is periodically transmitted, to measure a channel state on the NCT secondary serving cell, based on information on the reduced CRS. As a result, the accuracy of the channel state measurement can be guaranteed.
