SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OFFERING REAL-TIME TRANSLATED SUBTITLES

Disclosed are a system and a method to provide translated subtitles in real time. The system includes: a subtitle generating terminal which recognizes voice by receiving the translation voice of a translator, and transmits subtitles by automatically converting the recognized voice into the subtitles of a corresponding translation language in real time; a subtitle display terminal which requests native language subtitles for a receiver, receives subtitles corresponding to the request, and displays the subtitles on a display in real time; and a real-time subtitle relay server which receives the converted subtitles from the subtitle generating terminal, receives a request of the native language subtitles for the receiver from the subtitle display terminal, selects subtitles corresponding to the requested native language subtitles from the received subtitles, and relays the selected subtitles to the subtitle display terminal in real time. The system and the method to provide translated subtitles in real time as mentioned above are able to increase the understanding and concentration of a receiver for a meeting or a seminar by automatically providing translated subtitles about the voice of a speaker in real time, and providing the translated subtitles for the subtitle display terminal by being corrected in detail by a translator in real time. The present invention also enables a receiver to easily grasp translated subtitles, the gesture and emotion of a speaker, etc., only through the subtitle display terminal by displaying the real-time image of the speaker on the subtitle display terminal by synchronization.
