PURPOSE: A phased comparing method of a digital document is provided to supply accurate comparison result data by dividing the digital document into sentence units, dividing the sentences into phase units, and analyzing the sentences and the phases. CONSTITUTION: A control unit divides stored documents and comparison documents into sentence units(S10). The control unit performs sentence unit analysis and phase unit analysis for a target sentence and a comparison sentence(S20). The control unit calculates a sentence unit matching rate(S30). The control unit calculates a document unit matching rate(S60). The control unit stores the comparison result in a storage unit through binarization(S70).
