PURPOSE: A slave control system based on EtherCAT communication is provided to realize EtherCAT communication by a normal LAN(Local Area Network) card without a separate master control board. CONSTITUTION: The first connection terminal(112) is connected to a host computer. The first magnetics(114) and the second magnetics(124) perform an EMI(Electromagnetic Interference) filtering function. The first physical layer unit(116) and the second physical layer unit(126) manage data of a physical area. The second connection terminal(122) is connected to an external slave control board. An EtherCAT controller(130) controls function setting and input/output about the entire configuration. An SII(Slave Information Interface)(140) stores setting data by an XML(Extensible Markup Language) from the host computer as EtherCAT setting data.
