A speed controller of the present invention for reducing a speed ripple caused by a periodic torque ripple of a motor comprises a proportion-integration controller to compensate a load torque ripple which is generated in synchronization to the operation frequency of the motor; a resonance controller connected in parallel with the proportion-integration controller and to compensate the load torque ripple which was not compensated by the proportion-integration controller; and a proportion controller connected in parallel to the resonance controller and to compensate harmonics which are not compensated by the resonance controller. According to the present invention, the speed controller can thoroughly compensate the periodic torque ripple.
