A failure diagnosis apparatus for a fuel cell stack with a phase difference compensation circuit according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises an alternating current generating circuit displaying components of alternating current (AC) on the current flowing from the fuel cell stack to a load by applying AC to the fuel cell stack; an LC circuit for de-coupling the AC applied from the alternating current generating circuit and default direct current (DC) of the fuel cell stack; a voltage measurement circuit for measuring the voltage of the fuel cell stack; and a microcomputer for diagnosing whether the fuel cell stack has a failure by frequency-converting the measured voltage.
