CONSTITUTION: A composition for treating allergic diseases contains 5-n-nonadecylresorcinol of chemical formula 1 or 5-n-heicosylresorcinol of chemical formula 2 as an active ingredient. The composition is a pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic composition. A composition for treating inflammatory diseases contains the compound of chemical formula 1 or 2 as an active ingredient. The pharmaceutical composition is manufactured in the form of an oral formulation, parenteral formulation, and topical formulation.
