The present invention relates to an MCM-41 type palladium-copper-supported catalyst to reduce nitrate in water, featuring palladium and copper supported in an MCM-41 type carrier. Provided is a preparation method of the MCM-41 type palladium-copper supported catalyst comprising: a step of preparing a solution by adding an ammonia solution after adding a surfactant into distilled water, and dissolving the same; a step of preparing the MCM-41 type carrier by adding a silica precursor into the prepared solution; a step of plasticizing the prepared MCM-41 type carrier; a step of supporting palladium and copper into the MCM-41 type carrier by adding a palladium precursor and copper precursor solution into the plasticized MCM-41 type carrier; and a step of drying and plasticizing the MCM-41 type palladium-copper supported catalyst, and reducing the same using H2 gas.
