The method involves determining (1) a target angle which defines a pitch angle of the wheels of a vehicle (7) for the transverse guide of the vehicle. The target angle is controlled by a steering device (11) which is provided to steer the wheels of the vehicle. The wheels of the vehicle are steered, without interrupting the control of the target angle by a user of the vehicle. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for transverse guide of vehicle; (2) a driver assistance system; and (3) a vehicle.
