The control device (100) has an input terminal (101) for coupling to a supply source (10) and an output terminal (102) for coupling with a load line (40). The switching units (121,122) are connected to a series circuit between the input terminal and the output terminal. A control circuit (110) is connected to the switching units, is adapted for transmission of data bits, and generates a control signal (CTRL) for controlling the switching unit (121) and/or the switching unit (122).
