The brake control system (1) has a brake release pressure chamber (7) to provides brake release pressure to braking device depend on actuating element (11) for obtaining the service brake toward release position. An actuatable brake valve (10) is provided in brake pedal (12) such that the brake release pressure is reduced for operating a spring brake (5) in braking position. An electrically actuable proportional valve (20) is provided to actuate an operating element (51). The brake release pressure provided to brake valve and proportional valve is controlled independently.
