The machine tool (10) has a workpiece holder (22) for receiving a workpiece (50) and a spindle head (18) for receiving a tool (20), in particular a grinding wheel, in which case, the spindle head (18), relative to the workpiece holder (22) is movable by means of a motor, wherein on the spindle head (18) a handle (30) is arranged, which at least one pick-up means (96), which is designed with a force acting on the handle (30) and wherein a control device (74) is provided, which is designed for this purpose, in an operating mode of the spindle head (18) depending on the detected effects on the handle (30) to the method defined by means of a motor.
