The sensor (1) has two mutually independent sensor elements (7, 8) arranged in a common cavity within a housing (2). The sensor elements are connected to a pressure connecting piece to seal electronics compartment (6) of the housing. The sensor elements are acted upon by pressure from the pressure connecting piece through pressure supply channels. An electrical connector is designed such that the sensor elements provide a common connection that is selected from the group consisting of a ground connection, a voltage link and a power connection.
