The communication system has a main module (2) and multiple sub-modules (13), where the main module has an interface (3) for exchanging audio signals with an infotainment system (1) of vehicle. The interface has a transmission channel (4) for audio signals and a receiving channel (5) for audio signals. A microphone interface (6) is provided for receiving audio signals from a microphone (7,7a). An output interface (8) is formed for outputting the audio signals to a loudspeaker (9,9a).
