Method for operating vehicle i.e. passenger car, involves automatically determining intend lane change of rear wheels of vehicle along direction of front wheels such that vehicle moves from one lane into another lane
The method involves comprising a front axle for steering front wheels (2.1) and a rear axle for steering rear wheels (2.2). An intend lane change of the rear wheels of a vehicle (2) is automatically determined along a direction of the front wheels such that the vehicle moves from one lane (1.1) into another lane (1.2) during a process of a lane change. The intended lane change is determined by registered signals from an ambient sensor. A situation analysis is carried-out by a driver assistance system based on the determined intended lane change.
