The method involves arranging a first solar cell and a second solar cell on a substrate. The solar cells are electrically connected to each other. The first solar cell is selected from a first batch of solar cells with cell efficiencies among between a first charge efficiency, a sum of the first charge efficiency and a pre-designated first efficiency spacing. The second solar cell is selected from a second batch of solar cells with cell efficiencies formed among a second charge efficiency, sum of second charge efficiency and pre-designated second efficiency spacing. An independent claim is also included for a solar module with a substrate.
