PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high photoelectric conversion efficiency solar battery of back electrode type capable of being manufactured easily, at a low cost and with high yield.SOLUTION: A high photoelectric conversion efficiency solar battery 200 includes: a first conductive type diffusion layer 104 formed by diffusing first conductive type impurities; a second conductive type diffusion layer 106 formed by diffusing second conductive type impurities; and a high resistance layer or an intrinsic semiconductor layer 202 formed between the first conductive type diffusion layer 104 and the second conductive type diffusion layer 106, on a rear surface which is a non-light-receiving surface of a first conductive type semiconductor substrate 101.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
