The harvester (10) has a clutch (64) optionally coupling a first powertrain with a second powertrain. The clutch is opened in a first operating mode of the harvester in which the first powertrain is disconnected from the second powertrain such that a combustion engine (36) drives functional components of the harvester drives by the first powertrain while a second combustion engine (38) drives operational components of the harvester by the second powertrain. The clutch is closed in a second operating mode in the powertrains are mechanically coupled with each other by the clutch.
