The vehicle has an electric machine (4) serving as a drive unit and connected with an electrical energy storage (9) e.g. lithium ion battery. A powertrain control device (15) is operated in different operating mode programs (E, H). A control function of a common rotary pressing button (12) i.e. rocker arm, is provided for a driver so that the driver chooses vehicle handling programs e.g. sport program and comfort program, independent of the operating mode programs of a powertrain (1). The common rotary pressing button is provided for the control function and another control function. The powertrain is a serial hybrid power train and a parallel hybrid power train.
