The circuit (9) has a high frequency rectifier (4) comprising input terminals (1, 2) connected with bus terminals and an output terminal (11). A first controllable switching element (5) has a control input connected with the output terminal. A load path of the element is connected to a system supply voltage (7) i.e. battery voltage, and an output terminal (8) of the circuit. Second and third controllable switching elements are connected between the bus terminals and the input terminals, where the rectifier is separated from the bus terminals during operation of the second and third elements. An independent claim is also included for a bus component.
