The apparatus has a case (100) that is able to be integrated into a dashboard of a motor vehicle i.e. car. A front panel element (200) is removably mounted on the case. A dismountable magnetic hinge comprising a pair of magnetic elements (124, 224) i.e. neodymium magnet, is arranged at an end of the front panel element. A locking unit for locking the front element to the case comprises a lock (212) and another pair of magnetic elements (126, 226) that is arranged on the case and on the front panel element. The magnetic elements are arranged opposite to each other in mutual repulsion manner.
