The method involves manufacturing a diamond polishing sheet (1). A diamondize part (2) e.g. wheel, or rim or hub cap of an automobile prototype, is reproduced in two dimensions. The diamondize part is grinded. The sheet is positioned and affixed on the diamondize part by bonding the sheet on the diamondize part. A shape representing a diamondize zone, of the sheet is realized. The sheet is engraved with a laser. The sheet is cut out with the laser according to the shape representing the diamondize zone. An independent claim is also included for a diamond polishing sheet for diamondizing an automobile prototype piece.
