The device (10) has a sheath (14) in which a cable (12) is mounted in a movable manner. The sheath comprises an end (16) that is capable of being linked to a transmitting unit handled by a user of a vehicle. The end is ready to be drawn by the transmitting unit. Another end (18) is ready to push or draw a receiving unit or lever. A tension maintenance unit (20) is arranged for maintaining tension of the cable in the sheath to inhibit rattling of the cable in the sheath. The maintenance unit is arranged with two elastic units (22).
