The method involves emitting an alert (E1) representative of degradation of functionality of digital telecommunication network (311) to a processing module localized in a client site (300). The alert is stored (E2) in the processing module in non-redundant manner. The alert is sent (E4) from the module to a supervision module (MS) localized in a monitoring site (200) remote from the client site through inter-site data-processing connection. The alert is considered (E5) by the supervision module in order to diffuse (E6) the alarm by the supervision module. An independent claim is also included for a system for supervision of a digital telecommunication network through a microwave radio system.
