The system has two temperature sensors placed in a circuit of a supercooling module (6). The sensors measure a temperature of air proximity to a heat exchanger (60) and a temperature of fluid e.g. water, of a cycle at an inlet of the heat exchanger. A control unit controls a ventilator (601) of the heat exchanger according to information received by the sensors so that the ventilator operates when a difference between the measured temperature of the fluid and the measured temperature of the air is higher than a preset value parameterizable via the control unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for optimizing operation of a refrigeration system.
