PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent stray light from being generated from an ultraviolet light-emitting diode.SOLUTION: An ultraviolet light-emitting diode unit 10 includes: a single ultraviolet light-emitting diode 4; and a single transparent member 5 so disposed as to include an optical axis O. At a cross section of the transparent member 5, including the optical axis O, perpendicular to a first direction (X direction) orthogonal to the optical axis O, a width in the optical axis direction at a center part including the optical axis O is longer than a width in the optical axis direction at a peripheral part that is apart from the optical axis O.
