PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for conducting musical performance guidance by displaying note information obtained by reproducing automatic musical performance information on, for example, a display part of an electronic piano like a piano roll, and enable even a beginner who has difficulties following a tempo or a reproduction speed of a practice piece to carry out practicing.;SOLUTION: A musical performance guide displaying unit 102 sequentially reads out note information corresponding to a musical piece in accordance with progression of the musical piece, from automatic musical performance information 105 consisting of at least a plurality of note information pieces composing the musical piece stored in storage means 101, and displays musical performance guide information based on the read-out note information and note information before and after the read-out note information, on a display screen. A unit 103 for controlling progression of a musical performance guide discriminates user musical performance information 106 inputted via, for example, an MIDI interface in accordance with a user's musical performance using a musical instrument 104 or the like, and controls display progression of the musical performance guide according to a performance state indicated by the user musical performance information 106.
