PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear shaping machine in which behavior of a tool can be made more stable and a gear machining device designing method.;SOLUTION: The gear shaping machine comprises: a tool for cutting an object to be machined; a main shaft connected to the tool; a cutter head that supports the main shaft to be movable in an extending direction; a head turning shaft that supports the cutter head turnably; a structure that supports the cutter head; a linear motion mechanism that moves the main shaft along the cutter head in a shaft direction of the main shaft; an avoiding motion mechanism that turns the cutter head with the head turning shaft as a shaft; a damping mechanism that is arranged at a position at which the mechanism does not overlap with the head turning shaft and damps vibration of the cutter head.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
