The method involves providing a machining tool (11) with conical shape, where the machining tool is driven in a rotating manner around a rotation axis (10). The tool is transformed at an action point at the periphery of a working gear (5) into working engagement with the working gear so that the working gear radial cuts the action point and encompasses an edgeless angle with the rotation axis of the tool. An independent claim is also included for a machining machine for machining designing of a spur gearing in a working gear with a cylindrical basic shape.
