PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microprocessor that can detect any illegal rewriting of base pointers.;SOLUTION: A microprocessor comprises: instruction executing means that holds, when executing a code in a program stored in a main memory and calling a function contained in the code, a program counter value being the value of a program counter at the point of time of calling the function as a first program counter value, and a base pointer value being the value of a base pointer at the point of time of calling the function as a first base pointer value, in the main memory, that holds the base pointer value as a second base pointer value in a storage area, and that restores, when executing return processing from the function, the first program counter value and the first base pointer value into an instruction register group; and comparison processing means that executes first comparison of the first base pointer value with the second base pointer value after the start of the return processing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
