PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine quantity of a lithium element in a specific internal area of a lithium-ion secondary battery, etc. by non-destructive and in-situ measurement.;SOLUTION: A Compton scattered X-ray spectrum of a sample is acquired by exposing the sample to a monochromatic X-ray, a lineshape of an energy distribution of the Compton scattered X-ray spectrum is analyzed, and then concentrations of chemical elements included in the sample are determined. For the analysis of the lineshape of the energy distribution, it is possible to use an S-parameter that is, in Compton profiles with X-ray energy in the Compton scattering spectrum converted to an electron momentum in a material, a ratio between an integrated value of the Compton profiles which is equal to or less than a specific electron momentum and an integrated value of the Compton profiles which is equal to or more than the specific electron momentum.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
