PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indirect AC megger measuring instrument and an insulation resistance measuring method capable of improving workability and safety while preventing damage on an insulator and equipment.;SOLUTION: An indirect AC megger measuring instrument 10 includes a variable insulation AC power source 11 for a primary side terminal to apply an application voltage V to a secondary side terminal of first to third GPT2₁-2₃ connected respectively to first to third phases of a secondary side power transmission line of a transformer 1, first to third clamp current transformers 21₁-21₃ for detecting first to third primary side currents i₁-i₃ respectively flowing through first to third primary side ground terminals 2a₁-2a₃ of first to third GPT2₁-2₃ when the application voltage V is applied to the secondary side terminal of the first to third GPT2₁-2₃, and an MPU 14 which measures a transformer insulation resistance R on the basis of the first to third primary side currents i₁-i₃.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
